Psalm 150:1-2  commands us to “Praise the Lord!  Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse.  Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.”   In Psalm 63:3, David writes to the Lord, “Because Your lovingkindness is better that life, my lips will praise You.”

As God’s children, we are commanded to praise God because He is great and worthy of our praise, and we should long to worship Him because of the great mercy He has shown to us.   At Parkway Baptist, our desire is to develop within each individual and within the church body as a whole a lifestyle of worship in which we respond to God’s greatness with praise, awe, wonder, humility, thankfulness, repentance, fellowship, prayer, reverence, and joy as He reveals Himself in our lives.

Music is one avenue of worship in which we, as a Christian family, can join together and worship God corporately.  It is our desire that our musical worship be not a “show” or a form of entertainment, but an endeavor into which we have sacrificed time and talents, so that our worship is an offering of praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior.

Whether you join-in our worship from the congregation, or if you find a place of service within one of our music groups,  my prayer is that you do JOIN-IN as we bring a sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.
